Let’s get personal.

I grew up as a loud, expressive kid in the 90’s and came out when I was 15 in 2002, when coming out at 15 wasn’t really a thing. I left my conservative, suburban life to attend a performing arts school in Midtown, Manhattan. This was one of the best decisions of my life. My high school life included sneaking out of class to go to matinees of Rent and literally dancing down 8th Avenue with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. In high school, I learned that being myself was the only way I was willing to live. I harnessed this lesson in my 20’s as I worked on comedy stages and small screens as a performer and now share this lesson with others from my seat (though sometimes I stand) behind the camera.

I think we all have something unique about us that should be celebrated. What I find most rewarding is discovering someone’s uniqueness, nurturing it, capturing it on camera, and eventually sharing it with the rest of the world. It’s the best feeling and, truly, I love this work so much!
